For reasons I have no clue to, the previous attempt at MFC'ing ignored
a bunch of files.

MFC:    GEOM and gbde changes.

1: fix serious bugs in gbde.
2: add alignment checks to avoid panic(8) implementations.
3: sync API with -current for forwards compatibility.
