YAMFC: rev 1.32 of worm.c.  This brings the ability to also read media
using /dev/wormN, and uses restructured code that is supposed to avoid
problems that arose in the old code e.g. with the HP6020i (although i
have yet to see any positive respsonse to this).

Additional cleanup will follow, but it's easier for me to do this if i
merge this one first.
