Add the beginnings of my support for Poul's enhanced error status
returns.  Loop on requests for 5 retries unless the option Ftp Reselect
is on, in which case go directly to "get another ftp host" menu.

In cases of extreme errors, tear down and rebuild connection
from scratch.
