Hmm, i should do such things later in the night, i'm afraid.  The
first paragraph silently went into some other language; to the best of
my knowledge, this cannot be referred to as ``Deutsch''. :-(

So here's a fix.  Since i don't have got a CVS update via CTM yet (nor
the commit message), it's still against rev. 1.1.2.2 of the german
README.  [And with CVS, it was trivial to deal with!  CVS sometimes
has its good moments.. :-) -jkh]
