* add cmocka as build-time requisite to include the engine test.
* use PLUGINDIR rather than hacking CPPFLAGS for PLUGIN_LIBDIR,
  the latter breaks -fPIC detection by configure (breaking the
  shared lib build for the engine unit tests)
