Sync with bento:
- Switch to using ${arch}/${branch} subdirectory instead of ${branch}
- export INDEXFILE, MACHINE_ARCH and ARCH variables
- Add (commented out) FETCH_BEFORE_ARGS setting
- Add MASTER_SITE_OVERRIDE to fetch from ftp://bento
- Zap some mouldy old unused variables
